About This Tour

Why Choose Our Cozumel Snorkel Excursion?

Determining the superior snorkel tour becomes challenging as they all claim the same thing: "We take you to the best Cozumel Reefs." Our guests always tell us that they did tons of research, and came to the conclusion that we were their #1 choice. For over 25 years, our family has devoted ourselves to ensuring that our guests have the most exceptional snorkeling experience in Cozumel, Mexico.

As the Official Snorkel & Cielo Tour provider, we take great pride in being recommended by Cozumel and Marine Park, two non-profit organizations devoted to the protection, cleanliness, and safety of the reefs and El Cielo. It is vital to ensure that your chosen tour operator possesses the necessary Marine Park permits. Unfortunately, most operators lack these permits and are thus prohibited from conducting snorkeling or diving activities in the Marine Park, which encompasses Palancar Reef, Colombia Reef, and El Cielo Sandbar. If you take one of these pirate tours, you run the risk of ruining your day — so please be cautious purchasing tours from vendors with small stands or online sites without sufficient reviews.

Furthermore, we are the sole licensed tour operator authorized to provide transportation to travelers, apart from taxis. This exclusive privilege allows us to help you save money by eliminating the need to negotiate transportation costs to the marina.

So What Makes Our Snorkel Tour Different?

We are a small family tour operator in Cozumel that has been providing our famous Cozumel Snorkel adventure for over 25 years and have over 2,500 Five Star Reviews — rated the #1 snorkel tour operator in Cozumel for many years. What makes our snorkel tours unique is the fact that we only provide small group tours, so we can provide a more personalized experience. We like to put no more than 12 people in our snorkel boats that can fit 18 or more people. This allows for a more comfortable snorkel experience with personalized attention from our professional snorkel guides. If you have more than 8 people in your group, you may ask for a private boat at no additional cost.

We include the Marine Park fees and docking fees, and have no hidden costs. We are also the only snorkel tour operator who picks our guests up from the cruise piers, resorts, and ferry (if you're coming from Playa Del Carmen). The reason is that our family has been in business for over 20 years and registered for a guest transportation license a very long time ago, which no longer exists or is available for other tour operators.

Many of our guests are repeat customers. We have made lots of friends over the years. By remaining a small family operator, we are able to offer lower prices and provide our guests with so much more. Our Cozumel snorkel guides all speak fluent English and absolutely love what they do. Our family goal is to make sure that we are the highlight of your vacation.

Where Do We Take You to Snorkel in Cozumel?

We take our guests to the best reefs in Cozumel — Palancar Reef and Colombia Reef. Most snorkel tour operators do not take people snorkeling here because they are too far and their tours are only 2 hours or less. Our Cozumel Snorkel tour takes you out longer than most, giving you an opportunity to truly experience the spectacular sights of each reef. We also take you to a reef that others don't — we discovered a gorgeous snorkel location which is a shallow reef that has lots of colorful sea fans, and you will most likely get up close and personal with a sea turtle when snorkeling there.

After your breathtaking snorkel tour, we take our guests to El Cielo Cozumel — a shallow area in the Caribbean about a half mile from the Cozumel shore, with crystal clear water and white powdered sand that massages your feet every step you take. The water reaches your waist and is the perfect place to relax and have some refreshments and food.

We will prepare our famous guacamole right in front of you. You'll have your choice of drinks from soda, beer (Corona, Sol, etc.), liquor (tequila, etc.), and ice-cold water. There are no limits on how much you drink, and we always make sure to have plenty of food and drinks on board. We have never run out of beer and don't plan on it. We also chop up some delicious fruit. If you have a birthday or special event to celebrate, we'll make sure you have an amazing celebration.

Never Snorkeled Before?

One of the great things about providing small group snorkel tours is that we are able to give our guests personal assistance if needed. If you've never gone snorkeling or aren't a strong swimmer, don't worry — our snorkel guides are specialized in helping you get in and out of the water and assist you while you're in. Our platform boat makes getting in and out of the water much easier than other boats in Cozumel. Even people who don't know how to swim have taken our snorkel tour and loved it!

Large Groups Welcome

We DO take reservations for large groups to go snorkeling in Cozumel. Any more than 8 adults in a single group is a private tour for no additional cost. Private groups may be any size, from 8 people to 50. We have larger boats to accommodate large groups.

Why Guests Rate This the Best Snorkeling in Cozumel

When travelers search for the best snorkeling in Cozumel, three factors separate exceptional experiences from ordinary boat rides: reef access, group size, and guide expertise. We lead on all three.

Reef access: Our Marine Park certifications unlock Palancar, Colombia, and El Cielo—reefs most operators cannot legally visit. You snorkel the same pristine formations that earned Cozumel its reputation as a world-class reef destination, not the overcrowded nearshore areas where unlicensed boats anchor.

Group size: Capping at 12 guests means more time with marine life and less time dodging fins. Compare that to the 30-40 person cattle boats that dominate the harbor. Smaller groups also reduce reef disturbance, which is why our coral ecosystems remain vibrant year after year.

Guide expertise: Our bilingual marine naturalists identify species in real time—from queen angelfish and spotted eagle rays at Palancar to sea turtles resting at Colombia. First-time snorkelers receive individual coaching until they're comfortable. Experienced snorkelers get insider knowledge of where the big encounters happen.

The result: 2,500+ five-star reviews from guests who confirm this is the best snorkeling tour they've experienced anywhere in the Caribbean.

Over 2,500 five-star reviews confirm the difference.
Is Cozumel good for snorkeling?

Do I need to know how to swim to snorkel in Cozumel?
